AstroLink 4 mini II

AstroLink 4 devices are multifunctional controllers for an astrophotography setup. They contain focusing motor controllers, 12V DC power switches, regulated dew heaters outputs, and regulated voltage outputs. AstroLink 4 controllers require a computer for work: can be a laptop, mini PC, or Raspberry Pi. Beginning in 2025, the AstroLink 4 mini II features an additional USB Quick Charge output, delivering up to 18W of power.

AstroLink 4 mini II contains two focusing motor controllers – so two focusers can be operated in the same time using this one device.

Several sensor types can be connected to AstroLink 4 mini II, so it can monitor temperature, humidity, sky temperature/cloud coverage, and sky brightness, and display these values or automate workflow based on them.

Also, input voltage, current, and energy consumed are monitored, and peripherals may be protected against overvoltage or excessive current drain, or you may be alerted when the field battery energy is low.

Other AstroLink 4 mini II functionalities are focuser point temperature compensation and compensation calculator, charts with export option, and permanent focuser position (so it does need to be parked after the session).

Both INDI and ASCOM drivers are available: ASCOM Focuser, ASCOM Observing Conditions, ASCOM Switch, and ASCOM Focuser 2

• two focuser motors support (unipolar, bipolar, microstepping)
• 3-10V regulated voltage output (1.6A maximum continuous current)
• USB Quick Charge output 5V@3A, 9V@2A (starting from 2025)
• new sensors support (temperature and humidity, sky temperature, sky brightness)
• INDI driver available
