⚡ Power Regulation – What You Should Know
🔧 Power regulation for heating straps is often overestimated in its importance. When a heating strap is properly selected for the optic and correctly installed, it can safely operate at full power continuously without causing any negative effects.
📡 In practice, around 99% of heating strap power control systems use PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). While effective for regulation, PWM inherently generates EMI (electromagnetic interference), which may lead to image artifacts 🖼️ or other unwanted side effects in sensitive astrophotography setups.
✅ For this reason, unless there is a specific need to reduce power consumption 🔋 (for example, when operating from a battery), we recommend using the heating straps at their default, full power level to ensure stable, interference-free operation and reliable dew prevention ❄️🚫.
