🔭 Telescope Desiccant Tube – Protect Your Optics from Moisture
🌫️ Moisture and dew are common problems in telescopes, especially in humid locations. While 🔥 heaters keep external optics clear, internal surfaces like the lens or corrector plate in Mak or SCT telescopes are much harder to protect once dew forms.
The Desiccant Tube provides an effective solution by 💧 absorbing moisture inside the telescope between observing sessions. Simply insert it into a 2″ focuser, and it will keep the interior dry, preventing condensation when temperatures drop.
📏 Available in two sizes:
- Standard Tube (100ccm) – ideal for most telescopes
- Long Tube (160ccm) – recommended for larger telescopes with greater internal volume
Optional High-Quality Silica Gel Desiccant:
- 🟠 Orange silica gel changes color as it absorbs moisture (orange → green)
- 💪 Effective up to 20% moisture absorption by weight
- 🔄 Easily regenerated in an oven at 130–160°C and reused
- 📦 Available in a 500ccm (400g) container for long-term use
