Description
🌌 3-in-1 Multi-Sensor – Comprehensive Environment Monitoring
This compact multi-sensor device combines three sensors in one unit, providing complete and reliable information about current ambient conditions. With a 35° field of view, it should be mounted in a position free from obstructions (such as dew caps) for accurate readings.
The 3-in-1 Multi-Sensor is fully supported by:
- AstroLink 4 mini II
- AstroLink 4 micro
- AstroLink 4 Bee
- AstroLink 4 Pi
- AstroLink 4 MAX
Data from this device is available through the ASCOM Observing Conditions interface and the INDI Weather interface.
📊 Measured & Calculated Values
- 🌡️ Temperature
- 💧 Relative Humidity
- ❄️ Dew Point Temperature
- ☁️ Sky Temperature
- 🌥️ Cloud Coverage
- ✨ Sky Brightness
📦 In the Box
- Multi-sensor device
- Elastic cover
- Connecting cable
- (Optional) Additional dew cap with large elastic cover
Compatible with small dovetail, Vixen standard, or finderscope shoe mounting options.
🌡️ Temperature & Humidity Sensor
- Relative humidity accuracy: ±2%
- Temperature accuracy: ±0.3 °C
- Dew point temperature calculated automatically
🔹 Can be used for focuser temperature compensation.
🔹 Available with or without integrated temperature sensor (external placement possible).
🔹 Secondary sensor option: values shown in column #2 of the panel but not available in ASCOM driver.
☁️ Sky Temperature & Cloud Coverage
The sky temperature sensor detects clouds, fog, haze, and other atmospheric conditions:
- If no difference between sky and ambient temperature → 100% clouds or dense fog.
- If 20–25 °C lower than ambient → clear sky with good transparency.
Also useful for non-contact temperature measurements of surfaces such as walls, floors, or radiators.
Technical Data:
- Ambient temperature range: -40 °C to +50 °C
- Sky temperature range: -70 °C to over +200 °C
- Field of view: 35°
✨ Sky Brightness Sensor
- Displays brightness in mag/arcsec² and estimated NELM (naked-eye limiting magnitude).
- Fully compatible with ASCOM Observing Conditions software (e.g., Sequence Generator Pro, N.I.N.A.).
- Update frequency:
- Bright sky → a few seconds
- Very dark sky → up to 2.5 minutes
Operating range: 16.00 – 22.50 mag/arcsec²
(Values outside the range are shown, but accuracy is reduced.)
