Description
Unipolar focusing stepper motor 12V with built-in 1:120 reduction gearbox that gives resolution 5760 steps per revolution corresponding to about 3 micrometers per step at standard Crayford focuser. This resolution is enough to set focus in instruments with a focal ratio of f/3 and slower. The motor is equipped with an RJ 6-pin socket and the cable ends with a DB9 or RJ plug. This is compatible with the Robofocus standard, which can be powered by many different controllers – AstroLink, AstroHub, Moonlite, USB Focus, and many others. Motor torque is enough to work with medium and large Crayford focusers and R&P focusers (up to 3″) with loads up to 4-5kg (like a monochromatic camera with filter wheel and OAG). Gears are all metal.
Recommended settings: 350-400mA current, 150-250 steps per second speed, type unipolar, 0.2s acceleration, 0% hold torque
Please select a proper mounting bracket:
- Type A – contains many vertical slits 5.5mm wide
- Type B – set of slits to cover many of the available market focusers (see the image)
If you need a different mounting plate contact us using the contact form.
To rotate the microfocuser shaft version with 1:20 reduction should be used.
